Ballet Hispanico San Jose Theatre reviews
A-Mazing!!
Dave Matthews, as usual, was incredible! The venue stunning, looking out over the beautiful cliffs at the Gorge, was not only, but the music they played complimented the whole experience. He opened up with One Sweet World, did a great rendition of Typical Situation, and finished the main set with a stunning Two Step. It must have been at least 15 minutes long! Carter jammed on the drums, mixing complex rhythms and patterns and then fell back into the main melody after probably 6 or 7 minutes. It was awesome and powerful. Other highlights definitely included a beautiful bass solo into Crush, Raven and several songs with banjo player Danny Barnes. Yonder Mountain String Band, the openers, awesome too-started things off, I don't even know how to describe it...all I know is that I was in awe the whole time with the instruments and the melodies they brought in. G. Love was pretty chill too, they had a great happy feeling about their music that just made me want to smile.
